Steven G. Foster, CMP, CTA, is a speaker and writer on topics of Influence, Leadership, Strategic Planning, and Team Success.  As Managing Partner of Foster+Fathom, a company whose name literally means “to encourage and understand”, Steven successfully collaborates with organizations and individuals to “grow and grasp” influence and opportunity.

Named one of the most influential people in Meetings and Events, Steven has produced award-winning leadership programs, team experiences, and brand events for more than 20 years.  His client list includes both the National Football League (Super Bowl XLV) and Major League Baseball (2010 World Series) as well as Microsoft, Harley-Davidson, Rolls-Royce, Sikorsky, IMG and Enterprise Rent-a-Car.

He has received more than 15 top industry awards, and in 2009 was inducted into the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Community of Honorees. In 2000, Steven and Wendy Foster became the first husband/wife business team to earn the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation; and both were profiled in 2010 by CNN/Fortune as a Small Business Success.

Steven is Past-Chair of the Travel, Exposition and Meeting Management Advisory Board at Richland College in Dallas, TX. He has served on the Board of Directors for both the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Hotel Association of Tarrant County. In 2011, Steven was appointed Vice-Chair of the Volunteer Services Action Team for the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee.

Steven currently is working on several new book projects, including one on Leadership, entitled “The Leadership Compass” and a children’s book co-authored with his 10-year-old son, Conor, entitled “My Best Friend is a Werewolf.” An avid motorcyclist, he has been riding for 30 years, and since 1999 has logged approximately 10,000 miles annually on one of two Harley Davidson motorcycles he owns.
